Position Details:

Full Job Description
Job Title: Senior Assistant or Senior Lead Kayak Guide – Summer 2024/2025
Part Time Job.
Grey Wolf Expeditions Inc. is seeking Senior Assistant Guides and Senior Lead Guides (SKGABC AOG, Greater than AOG or equivalent) with minimum of 2 seasons of experience kayak guiding to join our business for the upcoming summer seasons. This position is seasonal (July, August and early September) and will involve working in an exclusive and custom environment. With small group size, custom groups and only 1-2 other employees.
Responsibilities:
– Lead Groups in kayak instruction and on-water group management
– Maintain situational awareness
– Keep Group safe
– Provide rescue and first aid assistance when necessary
– Familiarize yourself with the local area and monitor weather conditions
– Ensure guests are safely equipped and conduct necessary safety checks
– Maintain and repair gear and equipment as needed
– Uphold food safety guidelines and hygiene standards
– Manage camp operations with a focus on minimal environmental impact
– Engage guests with educational information about the area and wildlife
– Assist with meal preparation, camp cleanliness, and guest comfort
– Represent the company professionally and uphold its values
Desired Attributes:

– Minimum of 2 season of work experience as a kayak guide

Qualifications:
– SKGABC Level 1 or Assistant Overnight Guide Certificate (preferred)
– Wilderness First Aid Certificate (min 40 hr)
– VHF Marine Radio Operators Certificate
– Risk Management Training
– Driver’s License (BC Class 4 preferred)
